Remote Desktop 7 for XP and Vista

This is a nice tidy remote desktop application, that will update your existing Windows XP/Vista Remote Desktop (RDP) to the latest version (at the time of writing).
Side note: I have found using this version and the default HP Universal drivers on all connected remote workstations, that I have less spooler crashes.

Download PS Tools to your Server: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/sysinternals/bb897553.aspx
You might want to add them to the Environment Variables, path..
Run these commands:
psexec \\remotecomputername netsh firewall set service remoteadmin enable
psexec \\remotecomputername netsh firewall set service remotedesktop enable
You should now be able to remote the computer.

Ok, if you want to setup Remote Desktop, that’s cool, here is how:

DO NOT FORGET, to setup your router, for port forward.
ie. Port 3389 to a reserved DHCP address for your host PC, which you want to control!

If your connected to a machine over the internet you might want to install DynDNS or some other free service so you have access to the latest IP address for the computer you want to connect to. Don’t forget to setup DHCP reservation for your host computers [...]
