Video problems on Aten KVM Switches

Apparently a firmware upgrade will fix some models.
We had an ATEN PS/2 Two Port switch which was doing the following:
PC in low res, and PC2 in very high resolution. When switching to PC2 after booting up, the resolution dropped down to a low res, which was very annoying for the user.
